Bonjour Royal friends!

Welcome to my blog, a ‘tongue-in-chic’ happiness lifestyle guide from a funny princess point of view!

Today I’d like to talk to you today about the positivity practice of getting up in the morning and asking yourself “how can I improve?”

Do you ever wake up and ponder how you can make your day just a tad more splendid? It’s a simple question, yet its magic can be enchanting. By consciously seeking small improvements each day, we can create a golden thread that leads to a happier and more fulfilling life.

As you greet the morning sun, take a moment to ask yourself: “How can I improve today?” It could be something as simple as adding a dash of kindness to your words, taking a moment to enjoy your morning tea and hot cross buns, or dancing to your favorite gavotte. Maybe you fill your bird feeder, or take a friend out for coffee and a croissant, (OMG….I LOVE croissants),  or try putting Julia Child’s Boeuf Bourguignon to shame. It’s in Mastering The Art of French Cooking, Volume One. (I have a cherished copy a friend gave me as a gift in high school, knowing the Francophile I was and still am.) I have since become a vegetarian, and my daily improvement would sincerely NOT be cooking anything with a face. If you’re like me, try something from Half Baked Harvest.  These seemingly insignificant actions, when woven together, can create a tapestry of joy and contentment.

Consistency is key, much like accepting invitations to your favorite royal galas…if you turn down too many, you’ll have more use for your Birkenstocks than your ball gowns. (Heartbreaking stuff!) Just accept a new, tiny teeny improvement into your life every day and you’ll be the belle and beau of Life’s Better Life Ball!

By making this question a daily habit, you’ll start to notice opportunities for improvement everywhere, much like discovering hidden treasures in a palace. Maybe you’ll find a more efficient way to complete a task at work, or perhaps you’ll uncover a new passion that sets your heart aflutter. Whatever it may be, embracing this mindset can lead to a more positive and enchanting outlook on life.

It’s important to remember that progress is not always a straight path. There will be days when you feel like you’re wandering through a maze, unsure of which path to take. But even on those days, the act of asking yourself the question can be a small victory in itself. It’s a reminder that you are actively seeking to better yourself, and that is a fabulously Princess-Worthy trait.

So, the next time you wake up in your royal chambers, ask yourself: “How can I improve today?” You may be surprised at the magic that unfolds. Each small improvement is like a stitch in the fabric of your life, weaving together to create a golden, glittering tapestry of happiness and fulfillment fit for the Royal Friend that you are.
