Enchanting Discoveries…People, Places, Things: Prince Dimitri talks tiaras…and other royal jewels!

Welcome to my tongue-in-chic life, style & happiness blog from a funny princess point of view!

I’m delighted to share the newest installment of my Series: Enchanting Discoveries…People Places Things that highlight fabulous treasures I encounter in my travels.

Today’s enchanting discovery highlights the brilliant, multi-talented and yes, enchanting Prince Dimitri of Yugoslavia, whom I had the honor and pleasure to meet at a recent event in New York City. The prince’s story is a real time fairy tale of majesty in the mists; he’s related to history book royals like Charlemagne, Catherine the Great, and Louis XIV.   He’s also a world-renowned jewelry designer.  His new book, “Once Upon A Diamond” with a forward by Carolina Herrera illuminates this fascinating heritage and staggering swath of cross-continental history using a unique and fascinating perspective to tell the tale: the magnificent jewels his ancestors owned and wore. It’s quite an amazing voyage to read about the lives of these royals and how they handled the waves of turmoil and change. Of course some of them didn’t. Prince Dimitri’s unique heritage enables him, in many instances,  to give us a birds-eye view and insider’s “scoop” on their thoughts and feelings, some passed down and some gained first-hand. Reading the book, one feels like a fly on the palace walls. A very privileged fly…CLICK ON TITLE TO CONTINUE!

ENCHANTING DISCOVERIES: people, places, things-ViaLove Designs

Welcome to my tongue-in-chic happiness lifestyle blog from a princess point of view! Today I’m excited to share the next adventure in my series for a wonderful life: #ENCHANTING DISCOVERIES…PEOPLE, PLACES, THINGS!  In this post I interview talented jewelry designer and entrepreneur, Jen Ecklund-Bistline, founder of ViaLove Designs. I first discovered (and fell gaga over) ViaLove Designs when one of my dearest girlfriends gave me a piece from the ViaLove collection for my birthday. (Photo of me wearing it inside…woohoo!)  I wanted to see more where that came from! ViaLove creations have a romantic air about them that’s evocative of past eras which resonates with me because the jewelry feels regal, as if a long ago princess commissioned them! You won’t want to miss Jen’s interesting story, the inspiration behind the Old World feel of her collections and a peek into her creative process and FUN FACTOIDS thrown in as always just for…well…the FUN of it! Introducing my new series: Enchanting Discoveries-People, Places, Things

I’m Princess Diane Von Brainisfried and it’s a joy to welcome you into my kingdom where positivity rules and kindness reigns! Today I’m excited to introduce to you a new series that I will periodically post on my blog called #Enchanting Discoveries – People, Places, Things.  These posts will feature fascinating people, interesting places, and wonderful things that I discover down my journey on the path of life…and off the beaten path! I couldn’t be happier to kick off this series by making your acquaintance with the truly enchanting artist Lisa Finch.  As a matter of fact, I was inspired to use the word “enchanting” for my new series because I felt like I stepped into an enchanted world when I serendipitously discovered her artwork on Etsy. I’m happy to share the following interview in which I got to know Lisa a little better and to give you a peek into her magical world. Read on to discover for yourself the enchanted world I fell in love with through artist Lisa Finch. ….CLICK on the TITLE to continue….
