Bonjour Royal Friends!

Welcome to my ‘tongue-in-chic’ lifestyle and happiness blog from a funny princess point of view.

I promised I would keep you in the loop of my princess-worthy doings around town. Here’s the newest scoop.

I recently caught wind of an article dated April 30, 2024 in the New York Social Diary entitled, “The spirit of religion, the spirit of creative art.” The fascinating article is about the illustrious and creative Prince Dimitri of Yugoslavia, who led the Memorial procession for the American Delegation of Savoy Orders annual Saint Lazarus Dinner and Mass at the Lady Chapel, Cathedral of Saint Patrick in Manhattan, to which your favorite neighborhood princess (moi) was invited and attended. The Memorial Mass was a remembrance of the recently departed H.R.H. Prince Vittorio Emanuele, Duke of Savoy, Prince of Naples.

You may have read about Prince Dimitri in a prior post in my series of “Enchanting Discoveries-People, Places, Things.” Prince Dimitri has earned my kingdom’s designation as an honorary “Royal Mensch” for his good works that extend around the globe. He’s also earned the designation as “Honorary Royal Creative Soul” because of his outrageously beautiful and creative jewelry collections.

Among other luminaries present was HIH Prince Ermias Sahle-Selasie Haile-Selasie, son of Prince Sahle Selassie of Ethiopia.  I revved up my royal gumption to introduce myself to him by using a bit of princess humor. With a glint in my eye to signal a joke was on my tongue, I mentioned that he and I were family. How?  We were both descendants from the same tribe!

You see, I am a princess of ancient Hebrew decent and it is told that his ancestor, Haile Selasie I, was a descendant of King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba.  Thankfully, he laughed.

When you’re reading the New York Social Diary article, I’ve provided a little tease in the form of a  “Where’s Waldo” moment. Can you find me with Prince Dimitri, HIH Prince Ermias Sahle-Selasie Haile-Selasie, and other royals and luminaries in The Lady Chapel of St. Patrick’s Cathedral? Hint: I’m wearing my royal robes. Made you look!

Bisous & Tra la la!
